ABOUT TIMOTHY & NALA
Hello,
My name is Timothy Colby, you can call me Tim or Timothy, but please no Timmy . I became homeless December 9th, 2024. Felt like my existence ended that day.
Let me tell you a little about myself, I was born in September of 1969, the same year man landed on the moon (yes I’m that old ). This makes me Generation X, also known as the "MTV Generation," the "Latchkey Generation," and the "Forgotten Generation”. Born in Montana and raised in Wyoming, a short stay in Oregon, then Virginia, can’t forget Puerto Rico, then back to Wyoming, all this before starting high school. After high school moved to Colorado and have lived in Denver since. I love the beach, lover of the mountains, adore animals, reading, enjoy
the simple things in life, a good movie , hanging out, and absolutely love ❤️ and adore my Emotional Service Animal my dog Nala (you’ll see her with me all the time).
After high school, was making a trip to Colorado with a friend and fell asleep at the wheel. Woke up to my friend screaming and the car spinning in circles down the interstate, ended up spinning off the interstate and landed 2 feet from a ditch. In the 1990’s I became HIV positive, became undetectable and stayed undetectable ever since. 2016 I came down with’s Non Hodgkin’s Burkett Lymphoma, went through chemotherapy and came out cancer free. Caught the flu in between chemotherapy treatments and came as close to dying as possible without actually having it happening. In June of 2022 my mother, that I was very close to and loved to death, passed away. Later in the year I attempted suicide, as you can see I didn’t succeed ☺️. 2024, had an operation on my right foot and ended up and out of the Emergency Room for minor infections. One morning woke up and my foot had a big yellow spot, ended up in the Emergency Room again this time getting two of the metatarsal’s amputated. Foot almost healed and I end up back in the Emergency Room for trouble breathing, come to find out there was an infection in the sternum and caused some swelling (still on antibiotics currently). I have major depression issues along with anxiety, tinnitus that causes constant nonstop ringing in both ears, vertigo that cases severe dizziness, sort term memory issues and neuropathy in both feet that was a side effect of the chemotherapy.
I’ve done a lot, seen a lot, smiled a lot, cried a lot, loved a lot, grieved a lot, but after everything that’s happened keep ending back on my feet (barely). I feel that God has been protecting me my whole life.
GRIEF, TEARS, ANGER, SCARED, REFLECTION ON LIFE, STAND UP, BE STRONG, DEEP BREATH, HERE COMES A NEW BEGINNING TO LIFE.
