My life at this point.

Updated: Jul 31, 2025

My life.......hmmm. Been thinking about my life a lot lately, I guess everyone does as they grow older. Sometime I feel like I've done so much in my lifetime and other times I feel like I've pissed it away. No matter how I feel about my life at anytime, there's nothing I would do to change it. We can't live on the what if's or the should'a, could'a, and would'as. Have I made mistakes in my life, oh I sure have. Probably more than my fair share of them as a matter of fact. Weather through good times or bad, happy or sad, love or broken hearted, success or failure, I am in the right place I need to be at this time in my life. Am I loving this particular time in my life, not one fucking bit. It has its moments but in general at this point and time, my life sucks.

What sucks so much about my life right now? Well being homeless is at the top of the list. I never thought this is something that would never happen to me, I guess we all think that. There's a lot I can go into about being homeless, but let's save that for a future blog. The biggest lesson I learned is that possessions really don't matter. Yes they can be very sentimental and hole precious memories. And let's be honest, all the possessions I had would end up in the trash after I die anyway. Luckily I"m at a good point right now and not deep into a bought of depression otherwise this blog might be going into a much darker pace.

I have a feeling that things are going to start getting better for myself and Nala. Had some things happen recently that are looking up for us. (Again a future blog, don't want to jinx anything.) How do I tell you about the good things coming, without actually typing it for you to read. Ugggghhhhh, screw it, future blog is all I'm going to say, next paragraph.

Anyone that knows me, knows that Nala is a huge part of my life and I can't complain about that fat one little bit. I love that big ol' girl more than anything. Nala is the asweetest dog ever and the only lime that becomes an issue I when so many people want to pet her and ask questions about her, causing my anxiety to soar. Nala has helped me so much when the darkness of depression overtakes me, somehow she guides me back into the light. Something I'll never be able to repay her for and I hope she knows how eternally grateful that she has come into my life just when I needed her.

Nala and I have a fairly routine day. Spend the day at Union Station safe and sound. Thankfully the security guards let me stay longer than I really should. They are a good group of guys and really do great at their job. With the exception of an appointment, food bank run, walking of Miss Nala, Union Station is where you'll find me for the time being. In the evening we hope on A-Line out to Denver International Airport, where we spend the night. It's so much safer to sleep out at the airport than in a park or alley. In the morning we get on the train and head back to Union Station to start the routine all over again.

I've made a few friends along the way, mostly other homeless of course. There are 4 that, if we still used MySpace, would be at the top of my friends list. Between all the homeless I've met, they keep my informed as to where the food lines are and what days. Something I can never remember with my short term memory issues. All the people I've met along the way, I'm thankful for and to the top 4, I'm forever thankful and hope you all remain friends no matter where life takes us.

I thought this blog would be longer but my poor tired out ol brain can't think of anymore right now. Who knows, I might get up in the middle of the night thinking about something I forgot and I'll be editing this later.

Peace be with ya'll, God bless and good night. And remember to hug your mama and tell her how much you love her. Some of us can't do that anymore and would give anything to bw ble to just one more time.

P.S.

Well nothing brilliant popped into my head while I slept. I actually had a great nights rest out at the airport. Woke up refreshed ready to start the day of mostly nothing.
